i've e-nmailed two people from the cdo with a draft of my personal statement to look over this week, and neither of them has gotten back to me. honestly, i don't know the point of paying so much to go to school if little services like that can not be rendered. maybe this sounds entitled, but seriously.

i saw citylight tonight, my first charlie chaplin film, and i enjoyed it thoroughly.

i went to the stumbling monk last night, and good times were had. i might have done some cartwheels while waiting for the bus.

i have new shoes!

i am pretty thankful for people in my life right now.

i'm thankful for them most of the time, i think.

i saw m.i.a. on friday. she was pretty good, the audience was pretty tooly. also, i'm really not a huge fan of the showbox sodo. but, but, huelo came up to seattle, and that is always a good time.

i finally went to sara's cafe.

the blue moon seasonal winter ale is quite tasty.

went to bainbridge today, which was a really nice thing to do.
studied some at bauhaus with sara.
i think my translation is coming along nicely.

man, i've been really busy and working a lot lately.

last night i saw del tha funky homosapien, and it was quite the show. i danced a lot, and ate good french food.

also, i talked to meg bernstein this morning, and that was definately the way to start my day.

at cafe verite. there is a child wearing pink chucks. we keep waving at each other, and occasionally dance in our seats. it's amazing.

three members of saturday looks good to me slept on my floor thursday night.

friday i got sushi with david. then we got terrible sake at qfc,and tried to drink it. i didn't really succeed.

yesterday, after work, i met up with lisa and went to the ballet. the balanchine piece didn't really impress me, the twyla tharp kind of blew my mind. then i went to the elysian with raz and chris, where their great pumpkin ale continued to blow my mind.

now i'm in a really good mood, because i'm full of stir fry.

it's been a funny couple of days. yesterday raz, sara and i went to olympia to go to a show, but the show started too late, so raz and i went back to seattle and went to sleep.

today was my first day working at the tea place. i think that's going to be all right.

also, spocktococktopus!!!

i went bowling, and got just the right amount of drunk. and significantly better at bowling.

also, a spider crawled out of my purse while i was on the bus today. i screamed.

work today was okay.
i made curry today, and raz came over, and i hadn't seen him in what felt like forever.
the past few days have been good, but really tiring, and i'm looking forward to chillaxin' a little.
i got a mediocre score on the writing part of my gre, and this concerns me.
i've had very little time to call people, and it feels like i always miss peoples' phone calls, so basically,,,hopefully i'll get better at staying in touch.
also, i carved a pumpkin. with arabic script in it. i win, i win.

i can't sleep.

i got hired yesterday to work at a wine bar, but i decided to drop it in favor of working at a nice tea joint in ballard. it was super gay at this tea joint, i kind of couldn't resist.

i got a 650 on both the math and the verbal, so i feel like i win.

i feel really good about there being lamps in my living room. also, these lamps have lightbulbs in them.

it's been a good weekend. i studied a fair amount for the gres, so i'm pretty much ready for whatever those math problems have to throw my way. i think. i went to bainbridge on friday, hung out with christian and his lady and his parents, and us three drank two bottles of $5 champagne, 'cause we know how to roll. and watched 300, which was terrible. and i knitted a lot.
yesterday the person i studied with made me food, it was pretty much the best study session evah.
i also saw the martha graham dance company. man, so good. it was wierd seeing other people doing her solos, but i really enjoyed seeing her pieces with more people. basically, it made me realize how much choreographers reference her.
then i went bowling with chris!
i was really excited about maria calling me this morning.

i'm trying to decide if i want to take up turkish or persian. this is all assuming i get into the grad school program i want to go to.

christian called me at three a.m., and i remember little of what was said, besides me asking for help with arabic case endings.

i had my interview at the hyatt today. it went well.

temping at the university bookstore was pretty okay today. i ran into lisa! i basically rang up a lot of textbooks. i frequently had to resisit the urge to say "scan, motherfucker!" when things didn't scan. also, helping an adorarble old man made my day. also, i enjoy being invited to impromptu dinner parties at raz's chez.
